SMOKIE as a companion/pet

Smokie is a fun loving little dog, to him everything is a joke, even when he is told off. he makes me laugh and he gets away with a lot becuase of his joker like attitude to life.

Smokie is very biddable, keen to please and super to have around.

He is presently a kennel dog but was indoor crate trained when a youngster.

He is friendly with everyone

but just starting to discover that he is a young man and getting interested in the ladies.

SMOKIE as a working dog

As a working dog Smokie is very suitable for a novice handler having natural outruns, flanks and pace.

He is not over-endowered with power and needs to learn to be able to protect himself from cantankerous old sheep, however; he is quite capable of taking hold of a sheep if challenged but he needs encouragement to be really effective.

A good listner who now needs a lot of flock work and experience far more than he requires rigid training routines, as he is bored with the same old thing.

This young male will suit almost all types of Novice and Beginner handlers.
